Our Story
Walking the Tiny Walk
After first learning about the tiny house movement in 2014, we were immediately inspired and convicted. We knew right away God was calling our family to help those without one of the most basic needs; a home. After much prayerful consideration, our family decided to "walk the talk" and begin our own journey of letting go of all things that so easily entangled and distracted us Hebrews 12: 5. Over a year ago we made a commitment and took action steps that would enable us to begin Tiny House Ministries.
About Us
"If not NOW then WHEN, if not YOU then WHO?", was a quote that often resonated with us as we embarked on this journey. We are a family of four; Curtis , Hany, August and Eden White and we believe that nothing matters more than loving God and loving others; "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
(John 13:35). We decided to use our experiences and gifts by the strength God supplies (1 Peter 4:11) to bring others who are most vulnerable to "grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ" (Ephesians 3:18).
We met at Bible College over a decade ago and have been married since 2008. I am Cuban, from Miami, Florida, and Curtis is from rural mid-Missouri. When we first met, we did not anticipate this is where God would lead our family so many years later, however, with Curtis' 15 years in the construction industry, and my experience in the nonprofit sector and M.ED in Counseling, this calling made perfect sense for our family. We want to honor God by reaching the least of these (Matthew 25:40) and by being a catalyst for positive change within the body of Christ.
